Dr. Kathy W. Smith is a Clinical Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson.  She is an Assistant Dean of Student Affairs in the College of Medicine and is the Director of the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Training Program. Dr. Smith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Arizona State University and a Medical Degree from the University of Arizona. She completed her training in general psychiatry and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at the University of Arizona and joined the faculty in 2006.  She has additional specialized training in the assessment and treatment of perinatal mood disorders and was the Director of the Women's Mental Health Program in the Department of Psychiatry for two years. Dr. Smith provides clinical care and supervises child and adolescent psychiatry fellows at Cottonwood Tucson Behavioral Health Treatment Center.
