Elizabeth Juneman, MD, joined the faculty at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Tucson in early 2007, working at the Tucson VA Medical Center—the flagship hospital for the Southern Arizona VA Health Center (SAVAHCS). She joined Banner – University Medical Center Tucson and South in 2015. Dr. Juneman is an associate professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology, which is part of the UA Department of Medicine. A member of the Sarver Heart Center, she is also a UA Reynolds Scholar in Applied Geriatrics at the UA Center on Aging and director of outpatient cardiology at Banner – University Medicine North and Banner – UMC South. From 2007-15, she served as director of the Echocardiography and Stress Imaging Laboratory at SAVAHCS. Dr. Juneman received her bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where she graduated with honors. She attended medical school at the University of Texas - Houston Health Sciences Center. She completed her internal medicine internship and residency at the University of Arizona. Following completion of her residency, she spent another year as chief resident at the University of Arizona-Tucson Hospitals Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Juneman completed her cardiology fellowship at the University of Arizona, where she also served as Chief Fellow.
